Prunus Spinosa(Dilution)

Tincture of buds just before flowering.

Common Name: Black thorn.

Causes & Symptoms for Prunus Spinosa 

• Ciliary neuralgia, Pain as if sprained in left ankle.
• Swelling of the feet and ankle is relieved with Prunus Spinosa.
• Breathing difficult, caused by a sensation of heaviness.
• Itching on tips of fingers, as if frozen.
• The urine seems to pass as far as glans, and then returns and causes pain in urethra.

Mind and Head 

• Restlessness, which does not allow one to remain in one place
• Headache as if from sun. Difficulty in breathing,
• Painful jerks in forehead shooting back.
• Violent nervous pains in head, with loss of ideas and of consciousness.

Eyes, ear, nose 

• Ciliary neuralgia, pain in eyeball as if crushed or pressed
• Itching in corners of eyes and in edges of lids.
• Frequent sneezing, Wheezing when walking is relieved with Prunus Spinosa.

Mouth and Throat

• Pricking pains in teeth. Sensation as if teeth were raised up, and pulled out.
• Shootings, and burning pain, rawness, scraping, crawling in throat is relieved with Prunus Spinosa.

Stomach and abdomen

• Colic as from eating much fruit and drinking much water after.
• Very painful stitches right groin, better by pressure with hands.

Stool and Anus

• Burning as from a wound in rectum, as from salt in a would in anus
• Cramp-like bubbling in rectum while sitting
• Diarrhoea, with colic, and copious evacuation of fecal matter

Urinary complaints

• Cramps in bladder, also at night disturbing the sleep, violent burning pains in urethra.
• Itching in the scrotum immediately better by scratching with cramps in bladder.

Male complaints

• Pulsation in glans from jar of walking.

Female complaints

• Tickling, itching in region of ovaries, not better by scratching and rubbing.

Neck and Back

• Pain in small of back when sitting. Soreness of axillary glands.

Extremities

• Ankle and foot feel sprained. Itching in fingers, as from chilblains
• Restlessness in legs, has to change the position continually.

Generalities

• For suffocation from slightest motion, visible pulsation of carotids
• Indicated in pressive, out-shooting pains. Shortness of breath and oppression of chest.
